Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
— James 1:27

GRACE COMMUNITY ORPHAN CARE

The Grace Community Orphan Care Ministry exists to mobilize the church to care for orphans. We believe that adoption and orphan care remind us who we are as children of the Father and that caring for the least of these has its roots in the Gospel. Therefore, we believe orphan care should be fulfilled through the Body of Christ, the church, to the glory of God.

One of the ways that the Orphan Care Ministry seeks to care for orphans within our community is by coming alongside foster families within the church. We seek to provide tangible and spiritual support as they directly serve the vulnerable children of our city. WRAP teams are made up of individuals who are committed to serving foster families through prayer, relief care, acts of service, and spiritual encouragement.

Another way the Orphan Care team seeks to serve is by hosting Foster Parent Respite Nights for foster parents throughout the year. This is a time for foster parents to drop their kids off at the church and enjoy a night off. We provide childcare, dinner, and entertainment for the children.

If you would like more information about serving with the Orphan Care team at GRACE or if you are a foster or adoptive family in need of support, please let us know.
